The steel structure processing factory tells you, what are the common bending forms of the material?

When marking materials on steel (including steel plates and profiles), in order to improve material utilization, parts are always placed close to the edge of the steel plate to leave machining allowance. If there are a large number of parts manufactured, consider how to arrange them reasonably on the steel plate, that is, to use materials reasonably. The common bending forms of steel grade materials include the following aspects:

1: The internal and external bending of steel structure processing materials is called internal bending when the curvature radius is on the inner side of the angle steel (or channel steel), and external bending when the curvature radius is on the outer side of the angle steel (or channel steel). There is no distinction between external and internal bending for I-beams.

2: Steel structure processing flat bending and vertical bending, when the curvature radius is in the same plane as the web of the I-beam (or channel steel), is called flat bending; when the curvature radius is in a vertical position with the web of the I-beam (or channel steel), is called vertical bending. There is no distinction between flat bending and vertical bending for angle steel.

3: Cutting and non cutting bending of steel structure processing materials, according to the structure and process requirements of the parts, those that require cutting at the bending point of the steel are called cutting bending, and those that do not require cutting are called non cutting bending.

4: For workpieces that require hot processing, there is often a machining allowance left on the blank for secondary material marking after heating the workpiece and marking the solid material line. Generally, the secondary marking is to directly lay the sample on the processed workpiece, mark the actual material position according to the sample, and mark the cutting line of the sample punch, or leave machining allowance for the primary marking, and re mark the secondary marking.

In short, for some steel structure components, when there is a need to leave margin during the assembly process, secondary marking is often carried out based on sketches or sample rods to leave assembly margin.
